1. Agreement
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of StepSil.
By creating an account, submitting a listing, making a payment or using our platform, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not agree, do not use StepSil.
2. Platform description
StepSil is a marketing, publicity and discovery platform that allows eligible users to submit projects, businesses, services and creator profiles for public discovery.
StepSil offers paid leaderboard placement determined by cumulative bids.
StepSil does not guarantee commercial success, traffic, conversions or business results.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must provide accurate information.
- You must maintain the security of your account.
- You must not impersonate another person or organization.
- You must have authority to submit the listing.
- You must comply with our Platform Rules.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, subject to applicable law.
4. Listings and user responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of submitted information.
- The legality of your project or business.
- Your destination URLs.
- Your trademarks, logos and submitted content.
- Having permission to represent third-party projects.
- Maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
StepSil does not independently certify every submitted business or project.
5. Payments and bidding
StepSil currently provides paid listing and leaderboard placement services.
The minimum initial bid is ₹9.
Users may make additional payments to increase their cumulative bid.
Every successfully confirmed payment allocated to a listing contributes to its cumulative bid.
The ₹29 extension payment also contributes to the cumulative bid and provides an additional 30 days of listing validity.
The same accumulated bid applies to both leaderboards.
Higher cumulative bids receive higher positions. Equal bids are ranked according to which listing reached that bid amount first.
Payments are subject to successful confirmation by the payment provider.
6. Pricing and taxes
Prices displayed on StepSil are intended to be final prices, inclusive of applicable taxes where legally chargeable.
Applicable tax treatment depends on StepSil's registration status, the nature and location of the transaction and relevant law.
StepSil will issue appropriate payment confirmations and tax documents as required by applicable law.
7. Listing duration
Each approved listing has an initial validity period of 30 days from approval.
Extensions provide an additional 30 days.
Expired listings are removed from public leaderboards until successfully extended and reactivated.
8. Pause, resume and deletion
Users may pause, resume or delete listings where the functionality is available.
Pausing does not stop the validity countdown.
Resuming does not reset the cumulative bid or listing validity.
Voluntary deletion does not qualify for a refund of successful listing payments.
9. Moderation
StepSil may use automated systems to identify potentially non-compliant content.
Flagged listings may be held from public visibility pending review.
Owners may submit appeals within 30 calendar days of the moderation notice.
Administrators may approve or remove listings following review.
Where a violation is confirmed and a listing is removed, the applicable moderation deduction may be applied under the Platform Rules and Refund Policy.
A 10% deduction may apply where no appeal is submitted within the specified 30-day period.
These deductions are subject to applicable law and do not restrict statutory consumer rights.
10. Refunds
Payments are generally non-refundable in cases of:
- Voluntary listing deletion.
- Voluntary pausing.
- Change of mind after successful listing payment.
- Dissatisfaction with ranking position.
- Failure to achieve expected traffic, sales or engagement.
Exceptions may include:
- Duplicate successful payments.
- Verified payment-processing errors.
- Eligible failed transactions.
- Confirmed platform-side errors.
- Moderation-related refunds under the published Refund Policy.
- Other refunds required by applicable law.
Refunds will generally be processed through the original payment method where supported.
11. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of your submitted content.
You grant StepSil a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and format your submitted content solely as necessary to operate, display and promote your listing through StepSil.
You confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to grant this licence.
12. External websites and services
StepSil may contain links to third-party websites and social media platforms.
We do not control or guarantee the accuracy, availability, safety or legality of external websites.
Interactions with external services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
13. No endorsement or guarantee
A listing's presence on StepSil does not mean that StepSil:
- Has independently verified the business.
- Recommends or endorses the project.
- Guarantees the quality of its products or services.
- Guarantees its legitimacy or financial performance.
- Guarantees any particular visitor or commercial outcome.
Visitors should independently evaluate businesses and projects before engaging with them.
14. Suspension and termination
StepSil may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts or listings where necessary due to:
- Violations of these Terms.
- Fraudulent activity.
- Misleading or unlawful content.
- Security risks.
- Intellectual property complaints.
- Legal obligations.
- Abuse of platform functionality.
Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to appeal.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StepSil will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost opportunities or third-party conduct arising from the use of the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights.
16. Changes to services and terms
We may modify our services, pricing, policies and these Terms when necessary.
Material changes will be communicated through appropriate website or account notifications.
Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance where legally permitted.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory consumer protection and other applicable laws in the user's jurisdiction.
Any jurisdiction or dispute-resolution clause will operate only to the extent legally enforceable.
